Vice Chair Introduction - Subaita Rahman

Hi everyone! My name is Subaita Rahman, and I am a third year at UC Berkeley studying Political Economy with a minor in Global Poverty & Practice. This is my first year doing MUN, and I am so excited to be here! I love learning about history and international affairs, especially from a non-Western perspective, so the Mukden incident in particular is one I hold great interest in. I think it's important that people consider how the World Wars really affected the whole world and not just the main countries we hear about. So, I hope this experiences teaches you a lot about our government structures and relations to each other, and especially how strong/weak they can be. Outside of academics, I love biking, knitting, being out in nature, and trying new food. I also love diving into new shows and podcasts and talking about them with people :) I can't wait to meet all of you, and I hope you have a great time at BMUN LXIX!
